Safety

The log house is fire resistant!

It is proven that fire starts mostly because of neglect of inflammable interior items. It never starts from the walls of the building, even if the electrical system is damaged. There is stone wool in the walls of our houses and it preserves the structure from burning.

Unlike metals, when exposed to high temperature, wood retains its integrity and mechanical properties:

  • it conducts heat 10 times slower than reinforced concrete and 250 times slower than metal;
  • the charcoal produced on the surface provides protection of the wood underneath;
  • the burning of wood is slow, steady and thus predictable even at highest temperature;
  • and last but not least: wood does not emit poisonous gases while burning.

The log house has a good resistance to flood!

In case of a flood, water can not soak in the wood due to its limited ability to absorb moisture!

The ability of the wood to quickly absorb and give moisture prevents condensation on the walls in changing atmospheric humidity!

The log house is earthquake-resistant!

  • Extremely solid and elastic, wood is preferred constructing material. It can take enormous structural loads after which wood restores its initial state.
  • The structure of the log house does not contain static joints. All used joints can be displaced without destroying.
  • The structure of a log house is 7 to 9 times lighter than a monolithic one, i.e. inertial loads applied to it are considerably lower what makes the structure more resistant to earthquakes.

The log house can be built up on any kind of terrain!

Because of its smaller weight, the log house can be built up on weaker terrains (landslide areas, high ground water areas, etc.), i.e. everywhere where conventional construction technology would normally fail!
